Spirulina
Spirulina is the single most nutrient-dense food I eat every day. This page gathers my story, my practices, and my further reading in one place.
Nourishment compounds
When you nourish yourself daily with practices over time, the benefits compound on themselves. Harmful snacks, activities, and practices over time tank the trajectory of quality you could have had. Real foods compound in the body like interest, and spirulina is the living example: day after day absorbing light and doing its magic.
My story
I had powdered spirulina before I found William Padilla Brown. He brought me to fresh spirulina and inspired me to grow my own. Algae Research Supply gave me the information, culture salts, and the full harvest kit. The tipping point was Marianne Erika Meyers’s book, which convinced me to go all-in. I knew spirulina wipes out malnutrition.
Fresh vs. dried
I eat fresh flash-frozen spirulina every day. Fresh keeps the live enzymes; drying damages them with heat. I keep a chest freezer stocked with roughly a two-year supply.
